Here's a thought... What if the Tea Party was Black?

Just saw this video and it makes you think ... gee... would we call them "Patriots" if they "Rallied" in a major city, armed to the eye balls expressing their "2nd Amendment Rights"... showing signs with gun cite's targeting non members and calling a white President "Hitler" and showing nooses and bloody swords and pictures of guns and were jumping on people's heads who protested them and ... well ... you get the idea.
The Last part of the video says it ALL. It's Glen Beck telling his audience about "Reparations" .... which refers to Blacks wanting to get money for being slaves... THAT is how the Tea party and the GOP think... that this is all some grand scheme for blacks to get back at white America.

Think Again....

What if the tea party was black
Holding guns like the Black Panther Party was back
If Al was Rush Limbaugh and Jesse was Sean Hannity
And Tavis was Glenn Beck would they harm they families
If Sarah Palin was suddenly Sistah Soaljah

Would they leave it with the votes or go and get the soldiers
Yall know if the tea party was black
The government would have been had the army attack
What if Michael Baisden was on ya FM dial
For 3 hours every day calling the president foul
Would they say free speech or find evidence how
To charge him with treason like see he's unamerican now
What if Minister Farrakhan prayed for the death
Of the commander in chief that he be laid to rest
Would they treat it as the gravest threat or never make an arrest
Even today he's still hated for less
What if President Obama would have lost the election
Quit his job so he could go talk to the left and
Bash the government for being off of direction
Fraught with deception
And told black people they want all of our weapons
And we want our own country and called for secession
Would he be arrested and tossed in corrections

For trying to foster aggression
Against the people's lawful selection
Our questions
What if the tea party was black
Holding guns like the Black Panther Party was back
If Al was Rush Limbaugh and Jesse was Sean Hannity
And Tavis was Glenn Beck would they harm they families
If Sarah Palin was suddenly Sistah Soaljah
Would they leave it with the votes or go and get the soldiers
Yall know if the tea party was black
The government would have been had the army attack
What If black people went on Facebook and made a page
That for the death if the president elect we prayed
Would the creators be tazed and thrown in a cage

We know the page wouldn't have been displayed all these days
What if Jeremiah Wright said that everybody white
Wasn't a real America would you feel scared of him
If he had a militia with pictures that depict the president as Hitler
They would kill and bury that
Wait
What if Cynthia McKinney lamented the winning of the new president
And hinted he wasn't really a true resident
With no proof or evidence
Would the media treat it like a huge press event
They would have attacked whatever group she represents
They would have called her a kook on precedent
And any network that gave her due preference
Would be the laughing stock of the news so our question is
What if the tea party was black
Holding guns like the Black Panther Party was back
If Al was Rush Limbaugh and Jesse was Sean Hannity
And Tavis was Glenn Beck would they harm they families
If Sarah Palin was suddenly Sistah Soaljah
Would they leave it with the votes or go and get the soldiers
Yall know if the tea party was black
The government would have been had the army attack

Bill Maher to the Teabaggers – The Founding Fathers Would Have Hated Your Guts

Finally!!!!! The Founding Fathers would HATE the Tea Party!!!!! YES!!!! If you understand ANYTHING about American History then you know that this is the real truth. The Tea Party would be the people the Founding Fathers would fight against. This kind of brain washing that is so common in this era of "I believe what Glen Beck Tells me... screw the facts..." is what is tearing this country apart.

You have to watch the first part of his "New Rules" segment which is very mature content ... so fair warning .... I can't edit that out, you have to watch to the end to see his speech about this subject. He hits the nail on the head. If you want to get right to it... fast forward this video to minute marker 2:50

TPMMuckraker Clear Channel Yanks 'Straight Shooter' Limbaugh Ad In Tucson Eric Lach |

January 13, 2011, 5:50PM

Several weeks ago, NewsTalk 790 KNST in Tucson put up a billboard to advertise Rush Limbaugh's radio show. The text reads, "Rush Limbaugh/Straight Shooter," and the ad is riddled with images of bullet holes. In the wake of the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and 18 others on Saturday, KNST's parent company, Clear Channel, decided to take down the billboard. In a statement to TPM, Clear Channel, which also manages the billboard, said the ad "used the common expression 'straight shooter' to describe Mr. Limbaugh's candid and direct style." The company also said explicitly that it was KNST's promotion department that created the ad, not Limbaugh's show. But after Saturday, company management decided it might not be such a good idea to keep the ad up. "Clear Channel Outdoor management in Tucson quickly elected to take down this ad - believing that discussion of its interpretation would not contribute to the desire for healing in the Tucson community," Clear Channel said. Read the full statement:

Starting several weeks before the recent tragic incident in Tucson, Clear Channel Outdoor had been displaying an ad campaign created by a local Tucson talk radio station to promote its broadcasts of Rush Limbaugh's nationally syndicated radio program. This particular ad - which used the common expression "straight shooter" to describe Mr. Limbaugh's candid and direct style -- was designed and contracted for by the local station's promotion department - not by Mr. Limbaugh's program. In the wake of the tragedy, Clear Channel Outdoor management in Tucson quickly elected to take down this ad - believing that discussion of its interpretation would not contribute to the desire for healing in the Tucson community.

You Can't Reason with a Rabid Dog... OR the Right Wing

The article below is clipped from Alternet... My thoughts on this article... I am shocked that the Right Wing Talking Heads are THIS crazy ...but then again I shouldn't be shocked at ALL. It would be akin to being shocked that a rabid dog couldn't be reasoned with.

The Tea Party Express sent an email to supporters this morning asking for money to fight against alleged liberal attacks in the wake of the shooting.

Since the mass shooting that killed 6 and left Rep. Gabrielle Giffords fighting for her life, people across the political spectrum have called on the American right to tone down the extremist rhetoric that paints liberals, progressives, Democrats and minority groups as enemies bent on destroying America.
In a wholly predictable development, tea party leaders and right-wing media stars have mainly responded by railing about a leftist plot to silence them. Last night, preempting Obama's upcoming speech honoring victims of the massacre, Sarah Palin released a slick video in which she glares at the camera and accuses opponents of "blood libel," a term that refers to anti-semitic myths historically used to instigate pogroms and other campaigns of violence against Jews. Rush Limbaugh actually accused liberals of literally rubbing their hands in glee at the prospect of using the shooting to censor conservatives -- or "shut 'em up and shut 'em down." Think Progress tracked an online forum discussion in which Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips warned that the Tucson tragedy is part of a "war" between liberals and the Tea Parties, and urged Tea Party supporters to spread the falsehood that Loughner was a "liberal lunatic."
It would seem that the Tea Party Express, one of the largest Tea Party groups, has found an even more direct way to capitalize on the grievance ideology that fuels so much of that movement. On Monday the group sent a letter requesting donations. In an email sent to supporters this morning, they ran down a litany of alleged injustices perpetrated against conservatives in the wake of the tragedy and pledged to fight back -- ideally, with donations from their supporters:
"Instead of prayers for the victims and their families, the Left was consumed with using this massacre to score political points by blaming the tea party movement, Gov. Sarah Palin and now Rush Limbaugh."
"Who do these people think they are? First they have the audacity to blame us for a mass murder, and now they try to tell us what we can or cannot say and/or do. They think they can dictate what kind of defense we are allowed to offer for ourselves after they falsely accuse us of being responsible for the wrongdoing of a mentally ill member of society."
Sorry, but we're not going to stand for that kind of treatment. We here in the tea party movement have done absolutely nothing wrong. And we are not going to be told to shut up and sit down, when this tragedy has nothing to do with the wonderful, patriotic and peaceful tea party movement.
If liberals think they can engage in such outrageous behavior than they need to realize it will backfire on them. No friends, we won't be silenced, instead we will show them that their attacks on us will only result in us being stronger.

The Wild West 2011 Tea Party Style! YaHoo!

Here is an interview with Chris Matthews and the leader of the TEA Party Judson Phillips. What an eye opener! As I read the piece and then watched the video it sounded like he thought he was in the Wild West some 200 years ago... I thought does he KNOW it's 2011?

So if he thinks it's okay to bring GUNS to a RALLY, then it would be okay in turn if a bunch of Muslims or Mexicans or Blacks have a rally.. say across the street from the Tea Party Rally... all carrying GUNS?

Is he looking for a shoot out? Does he think that it would be a better America to have gun fights in the streets? Would he be "okay" with them all "expressing their right to bear arms"? Or would he be pissing in his pants and feel threatened by such an aggressive act?

This is the Founder of the Tea Party... NOT some liberal pretending to be from the Tea Party to give them a bad name... no... this is right from the horses mouth.

"....Chris Matthews talked to Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips today, and grilled him on second amendment issues and the "history of violence" in America. Referencing the fondness of tea partiers for bringing guns to political rallies, Matthews asked: "Why are guns talked about so much, especially on the right?"

Phillips replied that "guns are talked about on both sides of the political spectrum," and "liberals talk about it all the time. Usually in terms of taking the right to bear arms away from us."

Matthews got a bit worked up when Phillips asserted that leaders have town hall meetings all the time and "nothing ever happens to them." Matthews began to list a number of leaders who have been shot and killed, like Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and others who have been the targets of assassination attempts, like Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, and Harry Truman.

There's "a history of violence in this country. I don't know how you haven't noticed it," Matthews said. He later asked: "Are you concerned that people bring guns to political rallies. Yes or no." Phillips replied that he's not, and Matthews followed up: "Why would a person bring a gun to a political rally?"

"Because they have the right to," Phillips said, adding: "You'd carry a gun for safety. Just like you do for any other thing."

"They bring it to make a statement against the political people in this country they don't like and they use it as a threat," Matthews shot back, then asked: "Do you think it would be better off if people didn't bring guns to political events?"

"I would rather people not carry guns in occasions where you might get tempers flaring. I think that's probably prudent. But as far as just a general political rally, I don't have a problem with it," Phillips replied... "

Putting Sara in the Crosshairs

Remember this? When a politician literally Targeted people?

Is this Terrorism? Looks like it to me.

Did she incite people to shoot? Looks like it to me.

WHAT was the "Solution"? Putting people in the cross hairs of a gun? Looks like it to me.

WHY isn't THIS terrorism? If a Muslim had a map with cross hairs posted over the areas where people who opposed Islam was found on a FaceBook Page... would we allow that? Would they be in JAIL?

When a public figure actually CALLS for a "2nd amendment solution" (that means Guns to those who don't know) ... THAT is a call to action and a call to violence. Why aren't Sara and Sharron in jail for this?

Read these links I will add more as I find them...

What the Right Gains From Poisoning Our Political Discourse and Inspiring Violence

Maddow Blog

Palin and Angle didn't Use Political Rhetoric, They Gave Instructions

Excerpt from article:
"This goes beyond just rhetoric. This is a direct prescription for an act of gun violence by Sharron Angle against a public figure identified as a gun target by Sarah Palin. This is not simply rhetoric. These are clear instructions of what to do, and against whom to do it. This warrants a criminal investigation against these two individuals and should potentially be expanded to include other politicians, and pundits, that aided and abetted them in this scheme."

When Hate Speech Turns into Murder

It's hard not to want to blame the Right Wing Media for the event that took place in Arizona. I am struggling to remain calm but my grief over takes that emotion. Are they to blame for putting the seeds of violence in the mind of a clearly insane person? Maybe... maybe not.

Here is the thing to remember about all this.... when you speak and when you have a platform that reaches millions of people, you are going to put ideas into the minds of the people who are your audience... both sane and insane... therefore you have a responsibility as a human being.... to not say things that spark violence.

Hate speech, speech that incites and inflames may not be directly the cause for this event... but then again it might. And if people from the right wing think that their right to free speech gives them the right to incite the people who ingest their vile words ... think again. We need to stand up to people who incite this kind of violent behavior... whether it's some guy stomping on the head of a protester or a mentally ill person who opens fire on a crowded shopping mall parking lot... we need to hold the people who plant these seeds of violence responsible.
Here are some links for you to ponder...
